UN MICT architectural and engineering designs completed

FBW has completed designs for the new Mechanism of International Criminal Tribunals in Arusha, Tanzania. The new facility for UN MICT is provided in a sequence of three separate buildings housing a court, offices and archive and arranged around an open-sided courtyard orientated towards views of Mount Meru. FBW has provided full services of architecture, structural & civil engineering, and mechanical, electrical and public health engineering services in association with Ridge, UK as project manager and quantity surveyor.


 FBW submits designs for Kenyan clients

The establishment of FBW's presence in Kenya gathers pace as the roll-out of services to its Kenyan Clients continues. Preliminary designs have recently been completed for the master planning for two new mixed-use developments in Nairobi - a prestigious 40,000m2 mixed-use residential and hotel development within the ambitious Migaa development on the outskirts of Nairobi; and a high-class mixed-use residential and commercial development covering 5 acres in Lower Kabete. FBW has also been providing specialised hospital planning services to the owner and design team for the newly expanded Metropolitan Hospital in Eastlands

  MEP engineers perform services for Motisun Apartments in Tanzania

FBW is providing full Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineering services for two new multi-storey apartment complexes in Dar es Salaam. Each development provides over 20,000m2 of mixed-use residential and office space over 16 floors, including 4 parking levels, 100 luxury 3 bedroom apartments and a recreation area with gym and swimming pool.

  FBW designs Hilton Garden Inn concept proposals

FBW has recently completed concept proposals for the new Hilton Garden Inn in Kampala, Uganda. The mid-scale city-centre hotel has been designed to meet stringent brand standards set by Hilton Worldwide to provide 160 rooms, conferencing facilities, restaurant and bar on a tight urban site.

FBW has been appointed to design the Visa section and office extension to the existing German Embassy in Kigali, Rwanda.

  WAN selects FBW for long list, Urban Design Award

Mara Oysterbay City

FBW's concept design and masterplan for a mixed-use development at Mara Oysterbay City, Dar es Salaam has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious WAN Urban Design Award 2014. The design for this prominent development provides 450,000 m2 of built-up space over a 27 acre site to form a new commercial hub and draws on its East African cultural context and the sustainable use of local materials within a contemporary design.
