  FBW completed concept for the expansion of the Protea Hotel Entebbe

FBW's involvement in the development of East Africa's burgeoning Hotel sector continues apace - following a recent appointment, the new concept for the expansion the Protea Hotel Entebbe has been approved by the client.  This new 100-room beachfront extension covers a floor area of 4,800 m2 and provides a mix of suites and standard hotel rooms. FBW will provide full services including architectural and engineering design, project management and site supervision.

  FBW appointed to perform a pre-feasibility study for the EU in Rwanda

In an extension of the pre-design Development Consultancy services offered by FBW, the company has been appointed to perform a pre-feasibility study and needs assessment in Rwanda for the European Union (EU), which will provide a review of requirements for Co-Location sites for the EU and several European missions operating in the country.

  Kyanja Center for Global Health submitted for building approval

In a continuation of our work in the education sector, FBW is working with MASS Design Group from USA and AKTII engineers from UK on the design and delivery of the Kayanja Center for Global Health, an extension of the Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda.This new school for public health consists of conference, educational and research facilities within a total footprint of 2025m2. FBW are the executive architects and engineers providing the detailed designs and construction documentation for building submission.

  Congratulations to Red Chilli Hideaway on the opening of their new lodge in Kampala

FBW provided the design and construction oversight for the new lodge, campsite and its associated facilities in Butabiika, which features a main guest house with a mix of standard rooms, utility block, entertainment area and swimming pool. The design features sustainable building practices including the use of solar water heaters, rainwater collection and locally sourced materials.

  FBW Rwanda completed the refurbishment of their new premises

As we continue to grow our network of offices within East Africa, we are pleased to announce the relocation of FBW's Rwanda office to new premises in Kigali. The move has become necessary to accommodate the expansion and growth of our in-country resources needed to service our growing portfolio of Rwanda-based projects.
